Arroyo Grande Weather
|
Arroyo Grande truly boasts one of the most ideal, perfect climates. This year-'round, mild and sunny atmosphere that is one of Arroyo Grande’s biggest assets with moderate temperatures throughout the year. The climate is tempered by marine air flow coming directly into the valley from the Pacific Ocean. Fewer than half a dozen nights each winter drop below 32 degrees, and a summer reading of over 83 degrees is a rarity. Sunshine abounds year round, accounting for the area’s popularity with tourists who visit year-'round as well. High temperatures average 80°F in the summer and 60°F in the winter. Annual rainfall is between 15" and 30" per year. The rainy season lasts from October through April. The average frost free season ranges from 250 - 325 days depending on location. A daily light ocean breeze can be expected, which enters the valley and produces a cooling effect that creates an unusually long growing season, resulting in greatly intensified varietals flavors but the area is far enough east of the Pacific Ocean to elude much of the heavy coastal fog. Arroyo Grande's year-'round comfortable temperatures along with the sunshine of the area make it an extremely nice place to live and an excellent place to buy your next home.
